Well, just last month I was reporting on how we survived the SE QLD lock down and how things were again tracking on nicely. The good new is for those in SE QLD this is true... For everyone south of the border this however, is not. With the QLD/NSW border bubble being removed it threw some of our routines into chaos, chaos for us to navigate and once again adjust.
SIP WEEK
This September 6th - 12th we will, again, be participating in SIP week. To raise funds and awareness for SCI and the research continually needed to help find a cure. Out team really do give a SUCK and we challenge you to join us this year and drink all your beverages through a straw for a week. Sign up and join our team by following this link.
PARA-SHOOTING COME & TRY
If you find yourself oozing with inspiration after watching the Paralympics on TV please keep your eyes on this "Come & Try" event! Held at Belmont Shooting Complex from 9am - 12:30pm on the 26th September. There will be options to try both archery and shooting, adaptive for all levels. 10 WEEK CHALLENGE
Our loved challenge is BACK for a second time this year, with each challenge it just becomes better and better experience. The challenge will be running from the 20th September through till the 26th November with options to complete one of three options - in person, online or a mix of online and in person. The challenge is an excellent way of holding yourself accountable to a goal; be it fitness, weight loss, weight gain, healthier habits or to meet more people. Contact Meg or Ben for more info!
WE ARE TURNING EIGHT
Please join us to celebrate 8 years of Making Strides. Oktoberfest style, we will be partying at the Varsity Lakes Tavern with live music and DJ, photo booth, dancing and of course food and drinks. There will be prizes for best dressed so be sure to get that outfit sorted!

WINTER WINS
With winter coming to an end it will soon be time to create a new goals board. But before we do this I thought I would give you all a couple of highlights from the current wins we have experienced this WINter!
Kurt, achieved over 12 minutes of an independent head hold • Matt T, moved into his new apartment • Paul R, submitted and passed his final thesis • Rhys, reached the top speed running on the treadmill • Billy, took his first independent steps 366 days after his accident • Ash, with her kids went on her first family holiday without a carer • Kirstie, walked up and over Burleigh hill • Lindsay, can now feed himself with his left hand
